Fusion of the two clubs
The unification of Presto Football Club of Cottard and Valencia Football Club of Michaud led to the creation of Valento FC, a historic move aimed at strengthening football culture and community identity in Croix-des-Bouquets. This strategic merger combined the discipline and youth development focus of Presto with the tactical experience and fan energy of Valencia, creating a powerful new club that represents unity, progress, and pride. The name “Valento” reflects both legacy and ambition—“Val” for Valencia and “Ento” from Presto—symbolizing a shared vision for the future of local football.
Valento FC’s creation came after months of community dialogue, club negotiations, and planning. Leaders from both clubs understood that collaboration would not only enhance performance on the field but also build lasting bonds between the neighborhoods of Cottard and Michaud. The new club unveiled its official crest during a community ceremony, featuring a shield with dual eagles—one representing each original club—overlaid by a rising sun to represent hope and rebirth. The team’s colors blend Valencia’s deep blue with Presto’s golden yellow, now proudly worn by players and fans alike.
